I write about her a lot. It seems to help me. I wrote a letter to her about 3 months after she was murdered. I was so depressed, I had to write.

My dear little girl Samantha, I awake to another day without you in my life.

Only memories are here with me. If it's quiet, I can hear your sweet voice singing to me. God only knows how much I miss you. You come to mind whatever I may be doing. I catch myself looking for you to get off the school bus at the end of each day. I battle life for your brothers, praying that they will get their lives together.

Laylyn visits me; he puts joy in my heart. Laylyn misses his aunt very much. He asks when you are coming back. I tell him you're with God now and we will see you some day.

Carolyn is heartbroken too. We talk about life with you and it seems to help rather than remembering life without you. I feel guilty living life without you. It wasn't supposed to be like this. You were my life - my world. With God giving me strength and the willpower, I'll learn to go on.

Love Mom....
